History Center
The History Center at the Pioneer Florida Museum and Village
(Aka the Cassie Page Dowling and Carolyn Dowling Falls Memorial History Center) is named in memory of two local ladies that knew and interviewed many of our founding fathers in Pasco County.
We have old courthouse record books from the late 1800s until about 1940. We don't call ourselves genealogists but do have some County Commission Minutes, marriage licenses, wills, soldier discharge, incorporations, marks and brands, etc.
We have lots of information in files and photos on early places, people, railroads, maps, cemeteries, churches, post offices, businesses, etc.
The History Center is open by appointment only or during many special events/festivals. Come and see what you can find! The History Center is included with regular museum admission.
The History Center is manned by volunteers. If you need an immediate response, please contact the museum front desk (352)567-0262 or pfmfrontdesk@gmail.com.
